01 Nov UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION IN FASHION
Unique selling proposition is what makes you stand out in an already clustered market. Always have it at the back of your mind that competition within the fashion industry is fierce. New fashion brands enter the market every passing day.
Ask yourself “Why should people buy from me and not Calvin Klein?” If you sell sportswear, for instance, you need to know why people should buy from you and not from Adidas.
Believe it or not, the contemporary design lacks uniqueness. There is nothing particularly special about hand-made earrings and necklaces, no matter how it might be packaged. Your goal is to find originality and take advantage of it.
Example: What type of fabric? Will it be sustainability or natural fabrics? What method will you use in producing your clothes? Where do you produce it?
Find your unique proposition and stick to it. Use it across all your communication channels: website, Instagram, Pinterest, lookbooks, packaging. Remind people why you are different and what your brand stays for. And it shouldn’t be through the words only. Images are great for that as well.
Always provide the answer to the question of your customer “Why should I buy this brand?”
